An analysis method for quantifying a level of cleanliness and/or activation of a surface (S) of an electrically conductive part (P). The method comprises: - positioning a counter-electrode (2) and the surface (S) of the part (P) in an electrolyte (1) containing ions; - using a generator (G) to apply electrical current at an electrical voltage (V) between the counter-electrode (2) and the surface (S) of the part (P) of which the level of cleanliness and/or activation is being sought; - measuring the change over time in the intensity (I) of the current flowing between the counter-electrode (2) and said surface (S) of the conductive part (P); - assessing a level of cleanliness and/or activation of the surface (S) on the basis of said measurement of the change in intensity (I).
