Described is the usage of the methanolic extract of Fluorensia Cernua (Senna Leaf) leaves as antimicrobial agent against periodontopathogenic bacteria such as Prevotella intermedius, Streptococco intermedius and Tarentella forsythensis (bacteroides forsythus) which are know to be the cause of periodontitis, which is an infectious disease very common in humans.
