The object of the invention is an external-action applicator, in particular a single-use applicator of anti-ectoparasitic preparations for humans and animals, containing at least one container (2) equipped with a dosing outlet (21). In order to protect the patient from possible cutbacks during application, the applicator contains an additional plastic cover (3) in the form of a perforated coating rod fitted with a single dosing cap (31) with a dosing gap (32),which, in the operating state of the applicator, surrounds the dispensing outlet (21) of the preparation container (2),and coupling devices (23, 34),which, in the working state of the applicator, attach the cap (3) to the container (2).
