摘要
The invention relates to a method for producing iron carbonate microparticles in pure crystalline state by thermal decomposition, said microparticles exhibiting controlled properties and being used as precursors in subsequent processes for synthesizing hematite and magnetite. According to the invention, the method consists in the hydrothermal decomposition of the Fe-ethylene diamine tetraacetate complex in the presence of urea, starting from ammonium iron sulphate [FeNH(SO)12HO] and Na-ethylene diamine tetraacetate as main precursors, at a working temperature of 225...275°C and a pressure of 30...50 bar, with a rigorous control of sizes and morphostructural properties of iron carbonate microcrystals throughout the process during 20...28 h, depending on the desired size of particles.
