The invention relates to a method and an intelligent system for on-line measuring and monitoring, in real time, the parameters of electric power produced, transported, distributed, delivered and consumed and the quality parameters of electric power, in order to allow the consumers to take quick and effective decisions. According to the invention, the method consists in acquiring the shape of current and voltage waves, in any measuring point, on one phase or on the three phases of an electric network, by sampling at various preset speeds, storing the same in the system memory, measuring and determining all the parameters that characterize the electric power consumption and quality, automatically identifying faults which may be voltage sags/surges at industrial frequency, voltage breakdowns, while ensuring the real-time transmission of the data measured to a management center, secure bidirectional communications with the management center and with the end consumers, implementation of a software module with electric power pricing function, detection, recording and warning in case of unauthorized access attempts. The system, as claimed by the invention, comprises some input amplifiers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8), of which three amplifiers are meant for the voltage on the three phases, three amplifiers are meant for the current on the three phases, one amplifier is meant for null current and one for null voltage, a data acquisition synchronization module (9) consisting of a PLL, a data acquisition module (10) consisting of an ADC stage (10) and an acquisition controller (13) which controls the ADC stage with the signals received from the PLL, an internal communication module, a computing and result storing, displaying and external transmission module (16) and a GPS module (17) for measurement synchronization.
