METHOD FOR DETECTION OF CARDIOTOXIC PROPERTIES OF BLEOMYCIN IN EXPERIMENT

The method for the detection of cardiotoxic properties of Bleomycin in the experiment provides for pathomorphology studies. The drug is injected intraperitoneally to the experimental animal at a dose of 0.5 MU/kg on Days 1 and 8. The pathology of heart tissues is studied on Days 5, 15 and 28. The cardiotoxic properties of Bleomycin are suggested by contracture degeneration of cardiomyocytes, the lateral myocytolysis, the lesions of endocardium with necrotic and fibrotic foci (more pronounced in endocardium of the right ventricle), interstitial edema, the moderate lesions in endothelium, the sludges, microcirculatory stasis.
