A method for producing biologically active substance of herbal origin with the local and systemic hemostatic effect provides for the extraction of the raw material with water followed by filtration. As raw material, the columns with stigmas of the corn are used. The material is extracted with 40 % ethanol at a temperature of 80-90 °C at a 1: 1 ratio of raw material:extractant. The separated supernatant is then dried.
