In the present description describes methods to identify a Cancer Patient to be responsive to treatment with an inhibitor of Fibroblast Growth Factor receptor (FGFR) and Methods for treating cancer patients.The Methods involve assessing a patient's Biological sample to detect the presence of one or more Mutant FGFR genes from a Panel of Mutants of the FGFR. The pouches and primers to identify the presence of one or more of the FGFR Mutant genes in a Biological Sample are described, in addition, in this description.
