HERITAGE HOUSE SYSTEM WITH EARTHBLOCK VAULT HOUSE AND EMERGENCY SHELTER DOME

The Heritage House System is a housing design concept with long term durable structures following timeless architectural principles with materials that is stable, strong and flexible, that could withstand strong earthquake and powerful typhoon using earth and clay as raw material which are available in any place in the country. The Heritage House System is composed of an earth block vault house and an emergency shelter dome. The vault house is predominantly made of compressed earth mix formed into 300mm by 300mm by 300mm blocks (one cubic foot). The dome can accommodate 50 people made of sandbag and barbed wire technology which has been tested to withstand earthquakes of up to 8.2 magnitude in model units made by Cal-Earth Institute in Hesperia, California, USA. The properly tampered and compressed earth mix is composed of clay and sand mixture with proprietary additives and stabilizers developed by the proponent, using ancient methods but with the latest materials in construction technology. It is developed to deliver a balance of resilience to earthquakes and typhoons while keeping the cost low.
