The present utility model discloses a method of seaweed (Eucheuma sp.)-pineapple jam comprising the steps of washing the pineapple and seaweed thoroughly in running water, peeling the washed pineapple to obtain the flesh, slicing the pineapple flesh and seaweed into smaller pieces, measuring the sliced pineapple flesh, seaweed and sugar, blending the measured pineapple flesh and seaweed, cooking the seaweed-pineapple mixture in moderate fire, packing the jam in the glass jars, pasteurizing the jam in glass jars, cooling the bottled seaweed-pineapple jam and storing the bottled jam in cool dry place. The present seaweed-pineapple jam is more nutritive than the common pineapple jam because of the added seaweed which is rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals but lesser sugar.
