Inerting steel dust through its stabilizing a building material integration. # Large amounts of steel powder (Electric Arc Furnace Dust, EAFD), regardless of origin, can be stabilized and used in a sheet of solid material, 2 mm and commercial value obtainable either by extrusion or by calendering, or by hot pressing of an obtainable formulation composite mixing: (i) one or more polymers capable of forming a solid polymer matrix, in a total amount of 10 -25%; (Ii) one or more phase change materials (Phase Change Materials, PCM) organic type, optionally accompanied by mineral oil, wherein the total amount of PCM plus mineral oil is 5-20%; and (iii) EFDA in 40-80%. The sheet of solid material can be used in the construction industry, to simultaneously provide partitions acoustic insulation and thermal energy storage.
