A machine for manufacturing a continuous sheet of low fire propagation, comprising: a path of travel through which a continuous sheet of paper travels; an applicator that is interposed in the travel path and is used to apply a combustion inhibitor on the continuous sheet; and a dryer that dries the continuous sheet applied with the combustion inhibitor, which also has: a detector that measures a parameter indicative of the width of the continuous sheet that has passed through the dryer; and a controller that controls a dryer drying condition based on the measurement result obtained by the detector, so that the width of the continuous sheet falls within an allowable range.
