Method for displaying a transport bar (3602) by using an interactive media guide application (IMGA), characterized by: showing a transport bar (3602) for a playlist, comprising the transport bar (3602) : a plurality of event regions, each event region corresponding to an event in the playlist; a position indication region (3610) to provide an indication of a playback position within the playlist, in which the position indication region (3610) indicates the playback position within the playlist in one of the events of the playlist, and in which the position indication region (3610) comprises a region of reproduction information (3614) arranged to move with the reproduction indication region during the reproduction of an event; and receive a user selection from the play information region (3614) and display a playlist options menu (3640) in response, allowing the playlist options menu (3640) for a user to execute a of a plurality of functions (3641, 3642, 3643, 3644, 3645, 3646) with respect to an event.
