A method comprising: receiving a set of parameters encoded audio for an audio frame, wherein the assembly comprises indicia representing at least two frequency coefficients spectral quantized linear, wherein the audio frame when decoding comprises samples audio digitally sampled at a sampling frequency, wherein the sampling frequency is one of a plurality of sampling frequencies for an audio decoder; converting indices to at least two spectral frequency coefficients quantized linear; and determining the sampling frequency for audio frame checking the value of a coefficient quantized linear spectral frequency higher than the at least two spectral frequency coefficients quantized linear order.
