In vitro assay for colorectal cancer diagnosis by determining the presence of marker protein disulfide isomerase (PDI) in a biological sample from a patient suspected to be affected by colorectal cancer using at least one monoclonal anti-PDI directed against an epitope of PDI epitopes selected from SEQ ID No. 1, SEQ ID No 2 with an aromatic amino acid next to the three dimensional structure of PDI and SEQ ID No. 3.
