Cataract surgery system, comprising: a laser source, configured to generate a first set of laser pulses; an optical guidance component, coupled to the laser source, configured to guide the first set of laser pulses to a target region of cataracts in one eye; a laser controller, configured to generate an electronic representation of a target scan pattern, and to control the optical guidance component to scan the first set of laser pulses according to a part of the target scan pattern to create a first region subjected to photodisruption in the target region of cataracts; an optical coherence tomography imaging system in the spectral domain (by OCT in SD), configured to generate repeated images that include a part of the first photodisruption region with an image resolution in the range of 0.5 -5 million image points per image and an image frequency in the range of 20-200 images / s; and an OCT image processor, configured to perform an image image analysis, in which the laser controller is configured to generate an electronic representation of a modified scan pattern in relation to the image analysis performed by the processor of images by OCT, and to control the optical guidance component to scan a second set of laser pulses according to the modified scan pattern to create a second region subjected to photodisruption.
