The invention relates to a compressed air supply system fora utility vehicle, said system comprising a compressed airinlet that can be coupled to a compressor, a filter unitthat can be coupled to the compressed air inlet via asupply line, a discharge valve element that is coupled to adischarge outlet and the supply line, a first valve elementand a second valve element, a control inlet of thedischarge valve element being controllable by the firstvalve element and the second valve element being arrangedin a regeneration air path for regenerating the filterunit, and at least one pneumatically lockable overflowvalve via which a consumer circuit coupled to thecompressed air supply system is supplied with compressedair. The invention is characterized in that the at leastone pneumatically lockable overflow valve can be controlledby the second valve element. The invention also relates toa method for operating a compressed air supply system.
