TECHNIQUES TO MANAGE MEDIA CONTENT FOR A MULTIMEDIA CONFERENCE EVENT

Techniques to manage media content for a multimedia conference event aredescribed. Anapparatus may comprise a media content manager component operative to generatea visualcomposition of decoded media streams for a multimedia conference event. If itis determinedthat the total number of decoded media streams is greater than the totalnumber of availabledisplay frames in a visual composition then an active group of decoded mediastreams may beselected from among the total number of decoded media streams for mapping tothe availabledisplay frames based on speech activity. Other embodiments are described andclaimed.
