The invention relates to an actuator comprising an electric machine. The electric actuator (100) comprises a machine polyphase (101), at least one connecting member (143) for feeding this actuator by at least one network (146) providing an alternating current, a first and a second bus (106, 107) mounted in parallel between each connecting member (143) and the machine (101) for controlling it in frequency. Each inverter (111, 131) has several arms each provided with two switches controlled, each phase of the machine (101) being connected to the two switches of an arm of the first inverter (111) on the one hand, and to the two switches of an arm of the second inverter (131) on the other hand. It also includes controlled means of connection and disconnection interposed between each bus (106, 107) and each connecting member. The invention applies to actuators used in aeronautics.
