A cost effective method for revamping a low pressure distillate hydrotreatingprocess unit to a high pressuredistil-late hydrotreating process unit. A high pressure hot- feed pump isadded, the furnace is retubed for higher pressures, the lowpres-sure reactor is replaced with a high pressure reactor, a high pressurelet-down valve is added at the reactor outlet, and the lowpressure recycle compressor is replaced with a high pressure recyclecompressor.
