A processing unit that adaptively suppresses wind noise in a hearing aid isprovided.The processing unit comprises a first microphone and a second microphone. The output of the first A/Dconverteris operationally connected to a first input of a subtraction node. Theoutput of the adaptive filter is branched and in a first branch operationallyconnectedto the second input of the subtraction node and in a second branchoperationallyconnected to the input of the remaining signal processing in the hearing aid.Theoutput from the subtraction node is operationally connected to a control inputof theadaptive filter. The invention also relates to a hearing aid system havingsuch aprocessing unit and a method of adaptive wind noise suppression in a hearingaidsystem.
