Provided is an exhaust gas treatment catalyst including: a de-NOx catalyst;and acoating layer being provided on a surface of the de-NOx catalyst andcontaining at least oneselected from the group consisting of alkali metal carbonates and alkalineearth metalcarbonates.In a method for regenerating an exhaust gas treatment catalyst of the presentinvention, the coating layer of the de-NOx catalyst on which VOSO4 isdeposited is removedwith an acid, and after the removal of the coating layer, a coating layercontaining at least oneselected from the group consisting of alkali metal carbonates and alkalineearth metalcarbonates is again provided.
