Techniques disclosed herein integrate communication mechanisms of a businessor government with time management/calendar systems having knowledge of anemployee'swork schedule and geo-location, with a set of rules usable to selectivelystore and/or forwardwork related communications to an employee, while enabling overrides foremergencies,preventing employee self-exploitation, and monitoring for compliance. When awork relatedcommunications is sent towards an employee, the system receives thecommunication, andevaluates the communication based on the employee's work schedule, geo-location, and anyother restrictions within the set of rules. When it is determined that thecommunicationsshould be restricted from being sent, and no override to the restrictions isidentified, then thecommunication is scheduled for transmission to the employee at a later time.Overrides to therestrictions are logged and monitored for compliance to company or publicpolicy.
