The invention relates to a logistics system for transferring a load carrier (111, 111') between a vehicle (107), in particular a lorry, and a warehouse, having a load carrier (111, 111'), which essentially has dimensions adapted to the dimensions of the load surface (117) of the vehicle (107), and having a transfer station for receiving the load carrier (111, 111') from a vehicle (107), or for transferring it thereto, and/or for receiving the load carrier from a warehouse, or for transferring it thereto, wherein the transfer station has a load-carrier mount (113), on which the load carrier (111) comes to bear, and wherein the load carrier can be conveyed between the vehicle (107) and the load-carrier mount (113) and/or between the warehouse and the mount (113). The invention proposes that the transfer station have an interim-storage unit (21) for temporarily storing an empty load carrier (111') on an interim basis and be intended for accommodating, at least temporarily, an empty load carrier (111, 111') and a loaded one simultaneously on different levels one above the other.
