Disclosed in the present invention is a use for a secondary aporphine alkaloid derivative in the preparation of a medicament that activates adenosine monophosphate-dependent protein kinase (AMPK), wherein the secondary aporphine alkaloid derivative may be N-allylsecoboldine. The medicament is able to activate AMPK, thereby regulating cell growth and metabolism, and can treat AMPK-related disease.
