Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a helical carrier for an automatic parking brake system using side-extrusion type of cold forging, the method comprising: a helical gear manufacturing step (S100) for manufacturing a helical gear (1) having a hollow assembly recess (3) formed therein and oblique saw teeth formed on the outer periphery thereof; a carrier shaft manufacturing step (S200) for manufacturing a carrier shaft (5) having a spline part (6) formed on one lateral end thereof and an assembly step (7) formed on an opposite lateral end thereof, wherein the assembly step corresponds to the hollow assembly recess (3); and a final assembly step (S300) for assembling the carrier shaft (5) to the helical gear (1) through press-fitting such that the assembly step (7) of the carrier shaft (5) is positioned in the hollow assembly recess (3) of the helical gear (1).
