Disclosed is a preprocessing-aided signal detection method in a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system, for solving the problem in the prior art of incapability of reaching an optimal achievable rate by employing LRA detection of signals, the method comprising: selecting a complex integer matrix from a complex integer matrix set according to parameter values relevant to the validity of data transmission; and according to a received signal, a detection matrix and the selected complex integer matrix, determining the estimation value of a transmitted data stream. Also disclosed is a preprocessing-aided signal detection device in the MIMO system.
