The PM2.5 concentration detection device (20) comprises a light intensity conversion module (201) used for collecting a light intensity scattered by airborne particulates, when a laser irradiates the airborne particulates of air supplied in a centralized way by an air supply assembly, and converting the light intensity into a particulate pulse signal; a signal amplification module (202) used for amplifying the particulate pulse signal and generating an amplified particulate pulse signal; a PM2.5 comparison module (203) used for comparing the amplitude of the amplified particulate pulse signal with the amplitude of a preset PM2.5 detection voltage pulse signal, and outputting the pulse signal when the comparison indicates that the amplitude of the amplified particulate pulse signal is larger than the amplitude of the PM2.5 detection voltage pulse signal; and a PM2.5 concentration processing module (204) used for detecting the PM2.5 concentration of an environment in which the PM2.5 concentration detection device is located, according to the quantity of PM2.5 and the speed of the air supplied in a centralized way by the air supply assembly (10). The precision of PM2.5 concentration detection of the air quality detector is improved.
