The invention relates to an apparatus for treating a tennis elbow by means of percutaneous intervention, comprising: - a body having actuating means for operating the apparatus, - a fixing part to fixably position the body with respect to its surroundings, - a positioning device connected to the body, comprising a positioning part moveable upon actuation of the actuating means, - a holder releasably connected to the positioning part, the holder comprising a top part for a releasable connection to the positioning part and a bottom part defining a support surface for being supported on an elbow tendon region of a person, the top and bottom parts being connected by connecting members, and the holder comprises a holder part with a number of penetration means arranged thereon, wherein top and bottom parts are spaced-apart at such a distance that, before actuation, the penetration tips are covered by the bottom part, - the holder part being moveable along the connecting members upon actuation in direction of the bottom part, wherein the connecting members act as guidance for the holder part, such that the penetration means are controllably moved for penetration of the elbow tendon.
