A re-improved L-shaped pitot tube for measuring the flow velocity of a fluid. A semispherical, semielliptical spherical or cone frustum-shaped section of a measuring head, that is used for measuring the total pressure, of an existing L-shaped pitot tube is changed into a section of a small straight pipe (1). A section of a conical tube (2) with a small taper angle or both the conical tube (2) and an elliptic conical tube (5) is/are connected between the small straight pipe (1) and an outer sleeve (3) of the pitot tube for transition. The small straight pipe (1) is communicated with an inner tube of the pitot tube and is coaxial with the outer sleeve (3). Since the size of the measuring head is reduced and the conical tube with a small taper angle is adopted for transition, vortexes formed in front of the measuring opening are reduced and the fluid outside the tube is more stable, so that the total pressure and the static pressure are measured more accurately, smaller air ducts can be measured, and the measurement range is enlarged.
