The dispenser (10) comprises: a refrigeration unit (21) designed to store in freezing conditions the ice-cream and/or sorbet contained in the packaging (14); a dispensing device (23) which is arranged inside the refrigeration unit (21) and is configured to extract individually and in succession one or more portions (12) of ice-cream and/or sorbet from the respective cavity or cavities (20) of the packaging (14) without exerting pressure on the outside of the packaging (14), so as to let said portion or portions (12) of ice-cream and/or sorbet fall by gravity into a receptacle (27); a conveyor device (26) designed to position the receptacle (27) underneath the dispensing device (23) in order to collect the portion or portions (12) of ice-cream and/or sorbet and move said receptacle (27) outside of the refrigeration unit (21) towards an exit zone (33) of the dispenser (10) from where the user may take the receptacle (27) with the selected ice-cream and/or sorbet; and a heating unit (31) which is arranged along the path of the conveyor device (26) and is configured to heat the portion or portions (12) of ice-cream and/or sorbet dispensed by the dispensing device (23) into the receptacle (27) up to a given serving temperature.
