The present invention relates to a rotor position error compensation method using a modeling current of brushless direct current motor without a position sensor. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a rotor position error compensation method which minimizes a pulse generated at the time of driving the brushless direct current motor without a position sensor so as to enable the motor to stably and reliably operate. To this end, the present invention comprises the steps of: measuring a current error component depending on a velocity of an estimated rotor and a velocity of an actual rotor in a brushless direct current motor without a position sensor; assigning a sign to the current error component and then integrating the component; acquiring a counter electromotive force error component using the integrated value and then acquiring a velocity error component of the rotor; and compensating the estimated rotor velocity for the velocity error component. Thus, the present invention compensates the estimated rotor velocity for the velocity error component to compensate for the position error of the rotor and thus can minimize a velocity pulse and realize a stable and reliable operation.
