Systems and methods associated with semantic information based truncation are described. One example method may be embodied on a computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions. The instructions, when executed by a computer, may cause the computer to extract semantic information for members of a set of truncation points within a document. The instructions may also cause the computer to generate scores for the members of the set of truncation points. The scores may be generated based on the semantic information. The instructions may also cause the computer to select a member of the set of truncation points based on the scores. The instructions may also cause the computer to present content of the document prior to the member of the set of truncation points.
