Current synthesis of liposomes involves the use of reagents that produce a fatty acid hydrocarbon tail attached to a head group through an ether bond. The method in this research paper uses a fatty acid hydrocarbon tail attached to a head group through an ester bond resembling that of natural liposomes such as phospholipids found in cell membranes. Characterisation is determined by finding the critical micelle concentration using UV-vis and by titration with HCl.3 X 2.5337X 2.6149 2.5 ----X X 2.2468 2. 169 Abs 1 .5 - - - - - - - - - - - - - -1.1337 0o 05 ------- - - - - - - - - - - - -0 0.005 0.01 0.015 0.02 0.025 0.03 Concentration (mol/L) Critical Micelle Concnetration of Liposome Figure 5.
