The subject matter of this invention is the strategy of diagnosing the neoplastic disease, made up of the following stages: analysis of urinary nucleosides, chromatographic separation of nucleosides in the obtained urine extract and detection using a tandem triple quadrupole mass spectrometer, determination of the nucleoside profiles in urine, chemometric analysis of the analytical data obtained through determination, assessment of sensitivity and specificity based on the created discrimination models to examine the strength of the dependence between the nucleoside profiles in urine and the presence of the neoplastic disease. Furthermore, the subject matter of this invention is the application of changes in the nucleoside and their derivative concentrations in a sample of human urine to detect the neoplastic disease of the urogenital system, especially that of the urinary bladder, kidneys, prostate, and testicles.
