The invention relates to a radial turbo fluid energy machine (RFM) having a cast casing (CAS) which extends along an axis (X), wherein the cast casing (CAS) has a casing cover (CCV), wherein the cast casing (CAS) has an axial high-pressure side (HPS), wherein the cast casing (CAS) has an axial low-pressure side (LPS), wherein the casing cover (CCV) is undivided in the circumferential direction, wherein the radial turbo fluid energy machine (RFM) has a rotor (R) extending through the cast casing (CAS) along the axis (X). The invention also relates to an assembly method. For better use of installation space and/or better operation, it is proposed that the axial high-pressure side (HPS) of the casing cover (CCV) is formed in an axial region as a high-pressure volute (HSP) with a collection space (SCL) having an outlet opening (OOC) and an outlet pipe (OFL) of the casing (CAS), wherein the rotor (R) is lead out of the cast casing (CAS) at the high-pressure side (HPS), wherein the rotor (R) has, on the high-pressure side (HPS), a coupling (CUP) which is designed for connection to a drive (DRI).
