MANAGEMENT METHOD FOR PATHOLOGICAL SPECIMEN

[Problem] To solve a problem as described below that occurs in a conventional method for managing a pathological specimen wherein the pathological specimen is pinned to the surface of a board. That is, the operation of pinning the pathological specimen imposes a significant burden on an operator, is scarcely effective, and involves substantial risk of sticking the pin, which is to be picked up with fingertips in the operation, into a finger by accident and, as a result, causing secondary infection.[Solution] A management method for a pathological specimen that comprises pinning a surgically extracted pathological specimen to the surface of a board and managing, wherein: a pin formed of a plastic material is used; a mounting device comprising a hollow needle provided with a slit to be stuck into the pathological specimen is used; the tip of the plastic pin is stuck into the pathological specimen through the hollow needle to thereby fix the pathological specimen to the board; and a rubber board is used as the board.
