The invention relates to a system for producing drinking water and electricity and supplying same to a population centre, using sea water, consisting in using the tide and waves of the sea to store the salt water on platforms close to coastal areas, in order to subsequently pump same, by means of the energy generated by the stored water falling on a hydraulic turbine, to a tank on land in a coastal area, so that said water stored in a tank at a certain altitude can generate electricity for the use of the population and also supply electricity and sea water to a desalinator, in order to produce drinking water for the coastal population.
