An electrically charged nonwoven fabric which is formed using fibers that are mainly composed of an amorphous polymer provides: a novel filtration material that has excellent heat resistance and flame retardancy and exhibits improved performance in comparison to conventional filtration materials; and an electrically charged nonwoven fabric which is used for the novel filtration material. Preferably, the electrically charged nonwoven fabric has a surface charge density of 1 × 10-10 coulomb/cm2 or more. In addition, the electrically charged nonwoven fabric preferably has a collection efficiency of dust having a particle size of 1 μm of 40% or more at a face velocity of 8.6 cm/second, a QF value of 0.05 or more, and a loss rate of the dust collection efficiency after being left to stand for 24 hours at 100°C of 10% or less. The present invention also provides a filtration material which uses this electrically charged nonwoven fabric and a method for producing an electrically charged nonwoven fabric.
