The invention relates to a plant-holding and -watering system (1) comprising a main body (2), which is open at least on one side and which has at least one accommodating opening for releasably fastening a plant-holding element (3) or a plant pot (7), wherein the main body (2) is substantially tubular and is provided with a water feed (9) at one of the open ends of the main body, wherein a plurality of substantially circular openings, each for accommodating either a plant pot (7) or a further substantially tubular plant-holding element (3) having at least one opening, which opening is circular in the region of the longitudinal extent of said plant-holding element, is formed in the main body (2), and a water drain and optionally at least one closure element (8) for the substantially circular openings or an open end of the main body (2) are provided.
