A behavior classification system having: an acceleration sensor, which is worn on a prescribed part of a person, and which holds model information that includes rules for determining the behavior of the person on the basis of a physical characteristic amount calculated from the acceleration of that specific part of the person; and an analysis unit, which classifies the behavior of the person on the basis of the model information and the physical characteristic amount calculated from the acceleration measured by the acceleration sensor.
