The invention relates to a head (1) of a percussion tool comprising: • a snout (2) comprising a first hole (5) positioned along a longitudinal axis (AA), the snout (2) being configured to be removably fixed to a body of a percussion tool (3), • a pointed punch (6) housed partially in a chamber of the percussion tool (3) and passing through the snout (2) via the first hole (5), the punch (6) being configured to effect translational movement along the longitudinal axis (AA) under the action of a pneumatic force, • a shoe (7) connected to the snout (2) and comprising a second hole (7a) on longitudinal axis (AA) through which the punch (6) passes so that the punch (6) strikes the support that is to be pierced. The invention also relates to a percussion tool (3) provided with a head comprising the aforementioned features, to the method of manufacturing such a percussion tool and to the method of piercing metal roofing sheets using such a percussion tool (3).
