A packaging method for a color temperature tunable LED light source is provided, comprising: providing a substrate wherein the substrate is divided into multiple closed regions (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6), the multiple annular closed regions compose at least one color temperature region (A, B); assembling LED chips on the substrate, and there is at least one LED chip in each of the annular region; coating the surfaces of the LED chips with fluorescent colloid, wherein the viscosity of the fluorescent colloid in one of the closed regions is greater than that of the fluorescent colloid in the other closed region, the viscosity of the fluorescent colloid in the outmost closed region is greater than that of the fluorescent colloid in the adjacent annular region, and the height of the coating fluorescent colloid in the outmost annular region is higher than that of the coating fluorescent colloid in any of the inside annular regions, when two adjacent closed regions are in the different color temperature regions. The packaging method can achieve the division of the different color temperature regions by using the high and low viscosity fluorescent colloid, therefore, the manufacturing cost is saved, and the packaging processing time is greatly saved as well.
