A computer implemented system and method, and a computer program product, for generating and displaying political contribution information associated with a product. For example, a method may include receiving bar code information for a product and identifying the product using the bar code information. The method may further include identifying an organization associated with supplying the identified product and identifying individuals associated with the organization. The method also may include accessing political contribution information for the identified individuals and organization. The political contribution information identifies a contribution of money by the identified individuals and organization to political organizations, and determines how much money was contributed by the identified individuals and organization the political organizations. The method may further include displaying information indicating the amount of money contributed by the identified individuals and organization to each of the political organizations.
