REINFORCING GRID FOR BITUMINOUS OR SIMILAR ROAD COATING, METHOD FOR INSTALLING SAME AND ROAD COATING WITH SAID REINFORCING GRID

The application concerns a reinforcing grid (10) for a bituminous coating. It consists of at least one flexible strip comprising cross-fibres, comprising a first series of longitudinal fibres (11) parallel to each other and a second series of transverse fibres (12), also parallel to each other, and the direction of which intersects the direction of said longitudinal fibres (12) substantially perpendicularly. In order to increase the resistance to deformation of coatings, the application proposes supplementing the rectangular or square grid pattern mentioned above with a mesh of oblique fibres (14) that are disposed in such a way as to intersect the first series of longitudinal fibres (11) and the second series of transverse fibres (12) at an angle that can preferably be between 10° and 80°. All of the fibres can be deposited on and bonded to the surface of a geotextile web (13). The application also concerns a method for installing said reinforcing grid and a road coating with said reinforcing grid.
