The invention concerns a method for determining the guide parameters of a satellite in order to make the instrumental line of sight follow a geographic trajectory comprising at least two targets for which the satellite needs to carry out an acquisition, the method comprising steps of - determining a geographic trajectory passing through said targets; - determining the guide parameters to pass through a point of the geographic trajectory comprising sub-steps of - determining a terrestrial direction to follow at the terrestrial point of the geographical trajectory, said direction to follow being tangential to the trajectory at said point in question; - determining, from said direction to follow at the point in question, guide parameters of the satellite in order to pass the line of sight through said point in question in an instrumental direction of the satellite aligned with the terrestrial direction to follow.
