A method for patent information alerts during automatic stock trading, and a stock trading system. The method comprises: storing a preset ordered ask price and an ask size for a particular stock, and storing a preset ordered bid price and a bid size for the particular stock (S101); when the price of the particular stock reaches the preset bid price, determining whether or not a corresponding size of the particular stock has been traded at the ordered ask price (S102); if not, then maintaining a current state (S103); if yes, then ordering a broker to buy on the basis of the preset ordered bid price and the bid size for the particular stock, and pushing patent information when a user signs in again (S104). The method allows the user to buy low and sell high in an easy, accurate, time-saving, and effortless manner.
