The present invention provides a data transmission method and system in an internet of things, an internet of things device, a terminal and an internet of things system, and the method includes: transmitting a relay search signaling to multiple terminals in a serving cell where the internet of things device is located; receiving a feedback of the relay search signaling sent from at least one terminal, and using the at least one terminal as a candidate relay terminal in a candidate relay terminal set of the internet of things device; according to the received feedback of the relay search signaling from each candidate relay terminal in the candidate relay terminal set, determining a target relay terminal set of the internet of things device; and transmitting a relay application signaling to a target relay terminal in the target relay terminal set. The technical solution of the present invention can colligate the signaling processing ability and energy consumption of each terminal in the internet of things, the qualities of channels between each terminal and the internet of things device or a base station and the data service requirements of the internet of things device, and select the optimum relay terminal for the internet of things device.
