The invention relates to a roller bearing (1), configured as a spherical roller bearing, comprising a bearing inner ring (2), a bearing outer ring (3) and comprising a number of roller bodies (4, 5) arranged in two axially spaced rows of rollers (6, 7) having different contact angles (α₁, α₂) between the bearing inner ring and the bearing outer ring, and formed as structurally identical barrel rollers, wherein the contact angle (α₂) of the axially inner row of rollers (7) is greater than the contact angle (α₁) of the axially outer row of rollers (α₂α₁). According to the invention, in order to achieve a higher load-bearing capacity and a longer useful life of the roller bearing, the contact angle of the axially outer row of rollers is in the region between 2° and 10°, including said limit values, and the contact angle of the axially inner row of rollers is in the region between 7° and 20°, also including said limit values.
