Provided are a method for providing service information when determining stock market candlesticks, and a stock operation system, belonging to the field of the Internet. The method comprises: collecting the highest price, closing price, lowest price, and opening price of the day (S101); determining whether both of the following conditions are satisfied: the highest price is the same as the closing price or exceeds a certain threshold range of the closing price, and the lowest price is the same as the opening price or lower than a certain threshold range of the opening price (S102); if the conditions are not satisfied, then no alert is made; if the conditions are satisfied, then the user is alerted of the appearance of a large candlestick and service information is provided (S104). By means of the solution, a user may combine with service information the product attributes experienced by the user, thereby maximizing the value created by the invention.
